| Tuesdays at the Zoo are tots’ terrain, beginning April 22, as the Bronx Zoo introduces its newest event, Toddler Time Tuesdays Presented by Fisher-Price®. Moms, dads, and toddlers (three years of age and under) can use our Toddler Time map to take a two-hour tour of child-friendly exhibits. Highlights include the Monkey House, Baboon Reserve, Mouse House, African Plains, and the World of Reptiles. Children can bring their teddies to meet our brown bears, learn how to bark like sea lions, and look way up high to meet giraffes.
With the purchase of an adult limited admission ticket before 1:00 p.m., each parent and toddler receive free admission to the Children’s Zoo (a $3-value). You can download the Toddler Time map in advance, or pick one up at the ticket booth. At the Children’s Zoo, the Wildlife Theater Players will perform “Barnyard Babble” and other shows with music and puppets geared for the toddler set. Performances take place every 20 minutes from 10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.
The Toddler Time map provides fun facts and helpful information on places to eat, diaper changing stations, and stroller access locations. It also includes sing-alongs and play tips from Fisher-Price®, including “Nature Dance,” “Storybook Play,” and “Animal Walk.”
If you’re looking for more family programs to enjoy on weekends, register for Bronx Zoo Education Adventures. “Fuzzy, Furry Friends” is geared toward children ages three and four, and “Wild Wheels Animal Safari” introduces reptiles and amphibians to two- and three-years-olds.
