A New Home
In recent years, we’ve partnered with several wildlife agencies to provide a home for rescued sea lions. Our keepers offer our sea lions various forms of enrichment to provide mental and physical stimulation, and to encourage natural behaviors.
Forming Bonds
Sea lions vocalize frequently to keep tabs on each other in the wild. When two sea lions are getting to know each other, they might use a “breath exchange,” bringing their snouts close together. Breath exchanges may look like a kiss, but it’s a way for sea lions to smell and recognize each other and to help them bond.
