Curricula

Some surprising news about the Bronx Zoo's Education Department!
Throughout the U.S. and around the world, school science curricula developed by the Bronx Zoo's Education Department are used by thousands of teachers and their students, from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Bronx Zoo curricula integrate classroom lessons and zoo-visit field trips. You do not need to be near the Bronx Zoo to benefit from these curricula; they are used in schools and zoos in all 50 U.S. states and a dozen nations around the world. These programs provide teachers with professional development opportunities and comprehensive instructional materials for the classroom. All are highly motivating and consistent with national goals for improvement of science literacy. The workshops run from one day to five full days.
