Transport yourself to the tropics! Inside our 37,000-square-foot Asian rainforest, the thermostat is set at a permanent 75 degrees—just right for passionvine butterflies, nesting binturongs, and troops of silvered and ebony langurs that climb along vines and branches.
As you trek through JungleWorld’s four types of rainforest habitats, you’ll discover signs of the tropics all around you. Perk your ears to the cascading patter of a waterfall and the calls of birds like the Bali mynah and the Indian roller. Keep an eye out for a pair of the jungle’s most graceful gymnasts, the white-cheeked gibbons, which swing through the canopy that shades a Malayan tapir and black leopards. And don’t neglect the “unseen multitude”—the stag beetles, walkingsticks, tarantulas, and fire-bellied toads that creep (behind glass) along the forest floor.
The tropics are a mysterious place. While more than 90 percent of all the world’s species of plants and animals live there, only half are known to science! Behind JungleWorld’s tangle of vines, you’ll unlock some of the rainforest’s best-kept secrets and learn how we can ensure their protection.
