Daily Feedings & Demonstrations
Each day, Bronx Zoo wild animal keepers use toys, treats, and training to enrich the lives of all of our zoo animals!
Sea Lion Feeding (Sea Lion Pool)
Watch our aquatic acrobats come up from the deep as keepers treat them to two daily fish frenzies. Our sea lions eat between 12 and 35 pounds of herring and capelin a day, so lunchtime is definitely lively.

Tiger Enrichment Sessions (Tiger Mountain)
Join the keepers as they offer our tigers different items—from food to toys to intriguing scents—to explore. Also get an inside peek at how keepers develop trusting relationships with the big cats, as well as how they encourage the tigers' natural behaviors, such as foraging and play. You'll also have the chance to ask the keepers questions of your own.
YEAR-ROUND: 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.* daily
The 4:30 p.m. session occurs weekends from April–October only.
Primate Training (Monkey House)
Watch animal keepers as they conduct their daily training sessions with our New World monkeys. This indoor activity is great to see any time of year!

Penguin Feeding (Sea Bird Colony)
Bird keepers put on their waders to feed Magellanic penguins (as well as Inca terns, grey gulls, and cormorants) in this naturalistic habitat reminiscent of the Patagonian coastline.
YEAR-ROUND: 3:30 p.m. daily
Bee-eater Buffet (World of Birds)
These acrobatic birds are on the move during mealtime...since bee-eaters hunt their food on the wing! Watch as keepers toss live crickets and other enriching treats to the white-throated bee-eaters.
