Burger King

Featured Partner

As part of the new BK CROWNTM/MC Program interactive family experience, BURGER KING® is teaching kids that they're never too small to make a big difference. The restaurant chain has chosen to give back to three important causes, supporting education and protecting the environment and wildlife, and want kids to chime in to tell them what matters most to them. The Wildlife Conservation Society has been chosen to represent animal protection. By visiting the Program's website, www.BKCrown.com, kids learn how Burger King Corp.'s charitable partners make a difference and help BK® determine how to give back to each charity.

Horsekeeping

Initially motivated only by a city dweller's fantasy and obscure memories of childhood visits to the country, Roxanne Bok oversees the reconstruction of a thirty-seven stall barn and painstakingly discovers something about large animals and running a small business, as well as much about herself. For those who love horses (or just the idea of them), and the dream of country life, or can simply appreciate the surprising revelations of urbanites on a great rural adventure, here is a tale that plumbs the full range of human emotions but ends with a deepened love of the land and the extraordinary equine creatures that inhabit it.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit the Wildlife Conservation Society.
