Project TRUE: Adventure

Whether on the water, in the forests or on rooftops, Project TRUE explores wildlife and wild places of New York City. The Project TRUE summer program runs June-August, but the adventure does not stop there. Alumni events are held bi-monthly and have included picnicking in Central Park, a green roof restoration project, and a tour of an oceanographic research vessel.

Thanks to the Project TRUE College Bootcamp, I was better prepared to read and understand financial award letters. Project TRUE also exposed me to a variety of field of study outside of basic biology. For example, understanding interactions between human decisions and their impacts on the environment are an essential area of study in my Sociology course. Last, I have formed long lasting friendships from Project TRUE, including one of whom goes to my school and attends the same classes as me.
