Winter Wonderland

December 28, 2016

Some of our favorite photos from the zoo were taken in the snow. Whether a snowy owl blending in to its surroundings, or a tiger making the most of the flakes, winter provides great photo ops.

We've listed five of our favorite spots around the Bronx Zoo for you to capture your own snowy shots. Take a look below, and be sure to share your photos with us on social media using #BronxZoo.

1. Brown Bears

What's better than one brown bear post snowfall? A group of them playing in the fresh powder. There's plenty of room to set up and get a great shot.

2. Birds of Prey

There are a number of birds that look good in the snow, but we think it suits our bald eagles and snowy owls particularly.

3. Red Pandas

Our red pandas' big bushy tail does double duty. It keeps them warm, and your photos cute.

4. Sea Lions

Ever seen a sea lion with a beard? Stop by Astor Court after a snowy day.

5. Tigers

It doesn't matter how big the cat is, a little snow really brings out the fun.
