Global Conservation in the Classroom
Come learn all about the work that WCS does outside New York City in some of our many global field sights. We still explore ways to spark student interest by presenting them with real-world conservation challenges that scientists are working to solve all over the world. Teachers will leave the workshop prepared to engage students in authentic science practices in a remote learning context. The class will also feature a diversity of voices and perspectives in global conservation, along with activities that support students in reflecting on their own identity in a science learning setting. All activities align with the New York State P-12 Science Learning Standards, as well as the Next Generation learning standards for Math and ELA.
