Qualification Requirements

  • Animal care positions do have age restrictions: Bronx Zoo, 16+; Central Park Zoo, 18+, NY Aquarium, 22+
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds
  • Comfortable being exposed to cold and hot weather conditions
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
