Zoo Shuttle
Description
Seasonal. The Bronx Zoo spans 265 acres. We find the Zoo Shuttle helps maximize the day. Our trolley takes visitors from Wild Asia at one end of the park to Zoo Center at the other, with a stop by Tiger Mountain in between.
Schedule
- Open April – Aug, closed on Wednesdays.
- Open weekends and holidays only Sept & Oct.
- Closed Nov – March.
Operations are weather-dependent and may close when raining.
Admission
Included with the Bronx Zoo Admission ticket type. Additional $7 per person with Limited Admission ticket.

Wheelchair Accessible
*The ride is free for senior citizens. Zoo Shuttle can accommodate standard wheelchairs and most electric wheelchairs but not ECVs. We apologize, but due to the 4-wheel, heavy-duty construction of ECVs, they cannot be loaded onto the shuttle. Guests may only bring folded strollers on board the Zoo Shuttle, space permitting.
