Addressing the Elephant in the Room

Delve into Science Standards and connect to Amplify through the lens of elephant conservation. With an emphasis on elementary curricula, teachers will use elephants as a thematic entry point to investigate crosscutting concepts such as patterns, cause and effect relationships, and uncovering how science addresses questions about the natural and material world. Teachers will learn skills necessary to guide their students in science and engineering practices such as engaging in argument from evidence, and obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information effectively. Learn these skills while contributing to the ongoing WCS 96 Elephant Campaign. Join the herd by learning about these amazing animals!
