STEAM is growing in popularity and attention. Join WCS in this course for P-Credits, A+, and CTLE hours, to dig into the value in STEAM. Explore how art and theater complement and enhance the teaching of science, making it more engaging, more memorable, more relevant, and more inclusive of diverse students and students historically excluded from science, such as girls and people of color. Embark on a journey of food, from where it comes from, to the kinds of food we eat and why, to where it goes when we are through with it. We will take pictures, put on plays, create drawings and songs, make videos, read storybooks, and of course meet some exciting WCS animals and scientists along the way! You will get a, virtual, insider’s view of exhibits and staff with expert insights on science, theater, and art! Plus, we’ll have fun!
