The Bronx Zoo is a great place for Scouts of all ages to learn about animals, conservation and more. Take home a Bronx Zoo patch after this fun-filled day featuring special scouts-only activities!
Scout Day
Gather your Cub Scout or Girl Scout troop for a fun-filled day at the Zoo! Groups will have the opportunity to explore the Zoo with general admission tickets, take an educational tour, create an art activity, and complete a scavenger hunt! All Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will earn a Bronx Zoo patch! This program will involve walking outside. Most pathways are wheelchair accessible.

Cub Scouts
Calling all Cub Scout Troops! Work toward your badges at the Bronx Zoo! Workshops include steps toward earning your badge plus visits to select exhibits and meeting an animal up-close. BADGES ARE NOT INCLUDED. These programs are for a maximum of 33 individuals.
Wolf Adventure: Paws on the Path
Bring your Wolf den to the Bronx Zoo to work towards completing their Paws on the Path Adventure! Your Cub Scouts will hike through the Zoo with an "Adventure Journal", search for wildlife by visiting multiple zoo exhibits, practice map-making skills, and meet an animal up close in a zoo classroom! All Cub Scouts will receive a Bronx Zoo fun patch upon completion.

Bear Adventure: Fur, Feathers and Ferns
Bring your Bear den to the Bronx Zoo to work towards completing their Fur, Feathers, and Ferns Adventure! Your Cub Scouts will search for evidence of local animals while exploring the Zoo, learn about endangered wildlife by meeting an animal up close in a Zoo classroom, and make an herb seed-ball to plant at home! All Cub Scouts will receive a Bronx Zoo fun patch upon completion. Actual Adventure Loops not included.

Girl Scouts
Calling all Girl Scout Troops! Earn badges by participating in our Girl Scout Badge in a Day workshops at the Bronx Zoo. Workshops include steps toward earning your badge plus visits to select exhibits and meeting an animal up-close. Badges are included for all scouts that complete the activities at the Zoo. Daisy: Eco Learner
Bring your Daisy troop to earn their Eco Learner Badge by going on a nature trek in the Bronx Zoo! Through games and challenges, your troop will discover the many ways they can take action to protect nature. During the trek through habitats at the Zoo, we will make a few pitstops to meet animal guests up close.

Brownie: Bugs
Have you heard the latest buzz? Your Brownies can earn their Bugs Badge while learning about why bugs are important to our environment! Your Girl Scouts will learn how to identify an insect and participate in a science-based activity while exploring a bug-themed exhibit. They will also meet animal guests in the classroom, make a craft inspired by bugs, and learn why insects are critical to healthy ecosystems!

Junior: Animal Habitats Badge
Bring your Junior Girl Scouts to earn their Animal Habitats Badge by exploring an amazing habitat at the Bronx Zoo! Your Girl Scouts will meet animal guests in a classroom and discuss how animals are adapted to survive in their unique environments. They will explore an exhibit, conduct an animal census, discuss threats to that habitat and its animal residents, and learn what we can do to help! Each Girl Scout will create a habitat themed art project to take home.

Cadette: Animal Helpers Badge
Bring your Cadette Girl Scout troop to earn their Animal Helpers Badge by discovering the relationship between humans and animals, and the many ways we help each other! Your troop will meet animal guests in a classroom, engage in hands-on exploratory activities, and visit an exhibit.
