Jungle Book at the Bronx Zoo
The much beloved Disney classic, Jungle Book, is back on the big screen. Recently one of the stars, Neel Sethi who plays Mowgli, stopped by Tiger Mountain with Good Morning America to chat about the movie in his native habitat of New York.
The clips of the movie got us thinking about an equally epic adventure, right here at the Bronx Zoo. We've planned a journey through the jungle for you to embark on. All you have to do is choose a time to visit.
Shere Khan - Tiger Mountain
Shere Khan may be the villain in this movie but the tigers at Tiger Mountain are far from it. Stop by and see our amur and Malayan big cats.
Baloo - Big Bears
Head to the big bear exhibit and check up on our grizzly and brown bears. They won't sing about the bear necessities, but watching them play together is entertainment enough.
Bagheera - JungleWorld
JungleWorld always provides a nice break from the bustling NYC streets. There are langurs, otters, and of course, a black panther, to check up on.
Kaa - World of Reptiles
No shortage of slithery snakes at the World of Reptiles. Whether you're interested in pythons, cobras, or vipers, it's the perfect stop for any fan of Kaa.
King Louie - Congo Gorilla Forest
We may not have an orangutan like King Louie, but the energetic troupe of great apes at Congo Gorilla Forest are a stand out. Keep your eyes peeled, you may spot a few juveniles running around.
