Grauer's Gorilla
Following a dramatic population crash of Grauer’s gorilla WCS Democratic Republic of Congo has been working to understand how we can protect this species. Our boots on the ground are collecting valuable data to help ensure the protection of the gorillas. Using the following video and classroom tools, teachers will be able to take students through to process of field research. Andrew Plumptre, and his team explain how the numbers were collected, what it means for gorillas, and some of the threats that contributed. Your students will gain valuable insights on real world science application and how it can be applied to their own studies.
