Classroom Programs
Bring your students to the Bronx Zoo and have one of our talented educators lead your class through an hour-long wild experience. Programs are designed to meet appropriate learning standards in a way everyone is sure to enjoy: exploring wildlife, meeting an animal, and engaging in an active learning environment.
Classroom Program | Grades 9th-12th
Climate change is one of the largest impacts of human activity on the environment and biodiversity. Students will explore how individual, community, and societal behaviors can influence climate change and its impacts. Through an encounter with a live animal in a zoo classroom and exploration of a zoo exhibit, students will explore the impact of climate change on wildlife and what actions are needed to promote long term environmental health. Interactive learning experiences will help students develop their own solutions on how to reduce the negative impacts of human activities.

Classroom Program | Grades 9th-12th
Why and how do scientists study animal behavior? Students will find out the answer to these questions through close observation and data collection of animals in an exhibit and by meeting in animal up-close in a zoo classroom. The tools and discussion will be scaled to the appropriate age level depending on the grade of your group.

Virtual Field Trips
One of our knowledgeable educators will join your group and bring a wild experience to you—anywhere in the world! Programs are designed to meet appropriate learning standards, but everyone is sure to enjoy this 45-minute virtual visit, exploring wildlife, meeting an animal, and engaging in an active learning environment.
Virtual Program | Grades 9th-12th
Finding solutions to conflicts between humans and wildlife is more important than ever. In this program, students will use their creativity to begin designing innovative solutions to wildlife issues. They will learn about real Wildlife Conservation Society conservation stories and meet an animal from the zoo.
