Take a walk on the wild side in this CTLE course for elementary teachers that is built around our Dinosaur Safari! We will start the day with an early morning exclusive stroll through Dinosaur Safari - it's a chance to get up close and personal with some amazing life-size prehistoric creatures. Then we’ll use this experience to model multiple entry points of learning such as a hands on M&M game modeling natural selection and reproduction, a live animal visitor to our classroom that will help us uncover dinosaurs’ closest living relatives, and a text protocol around current literature on pedagogy and best practices. Plus, all participants will be given time to reflect on their learning and plan for application to their classroom.
Location: Bronx Zoo Date & Time: June 6, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Price: $50 (includes lunch)
