Bringing the Zoo to You
Live Cams
Coming to you live from the Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium. Check out a few fan-favorite exhibits, including African Plains, Madagascar!, the Sea Lion Pool, and Sea Cliffs. The cams are live daily from 10am to 4pm EST.
Please note: Our Congo Gorilla Forest cameras are offline for the winter.
African Plains
Giraffes
Giraffes are marvels of the animal kingdom. They have hearts the size of basketballs. Special one-way valves and elastic blood vessels allow giraffes to bend over for a drink without having their enormous blood pressure negatively affect their brains. Each giraffe has unique markings; these serve as camouflage in the wild, and at the zoo or on our cam, they can help you to identify individuals.
Madagascar!
Spiny Forest
The Spiny Forest exhibit is home to ring-tailed and collared brown lemurs, as well as radiated tortoises and a variety of bird species including red fodys. The animals co-exist here just as they would in the wild.
Astor Court
Sea Lion Pool
Located right at the heart of the park, our sea lion pool harkens back in time to the zoo’s earliest days. There have been California sea lions at the Bronx Zoo since 1899, and these irrepressible aquatic mammals have always been a favorite around here.
Sea Cliffs
Sea Otters
Southern sea otters (Enhydra lutris nereis), also known as California sea otters, are native to the coast of California. The New York Aquarium is proud to provide a home for rescued sea otters, including our three current residents.
More to (Virtual) Zoo
Even if you’re a million miles away from the Bronx Zoo, there are still plenty of ways to have great animal experiences virtually! Book a Virtual Encounter for a personal meeting with an animal, symbolically adopt your favorite animal, or consider becoming a Virtual Member for exclusive experiences.
