EXPECT SOME CHANGES.

  • Food and shopping are available, but we expect changes in which locations will be open each day. Water fountains and bottle filling stations are closed. Beverages are available for purchase from food and snack stands.
  • WHEN YOU ARRIVE - use the MOBILE SITE (BronxZoo.com/today) to see that day’s available exhibits and amenities.
  • EXPECT SOME CHANGES. We are committed to providing safe and healthy experiences for our community. Changes to exhibits and park operations will happen. We will provide advance notice when possible, but adjustments may also be due to unforeseen conditions. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING IF SOME EXHIBITS/ANIMALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON THE DAY YOU CHOOSE TO VISIT.
  • Animal exhibits close 30 minutes prior to park closure. Due to state mandated capacity restrictions, exhibit lines may close earlier if there is a wait time of 30 minutes or more.

Face Covering Is Required

We are currently requiring masks at all indoor exhibits and outdoor areas where social distancing can’t be maintained. We continue to monitor compliance and the visitor experience and will adjust policy accordingly.

Masks are always required for all guests over the age of 2 years, regardless of vaccination status:

  • During arrival and entry to the park
  • When indoors
  • When in busy areas where physical distancing is decreased (such as, waiting on a line; interactions with staff at ticketing, food, retail; in animal viewing areas)
  • On all rides (Monorail, Zoo Shuttle, Carousel)

Contactless Entry

For everyone’s health and safety, we are implementing contactless arrival procedures. We need your help to make it work! Here’s what you do:

  • Step 1: Reserve your tickets in advance - then print OR be ready to use on your mobile device
  • Step 2: Have ticket barcode ready as you arrive for self-scanning (WCS Members – have your valid Member card and ID to show too)
  • Step 3: Scan all your tickets and enter!

Limited Contact At Food & Retail Is Preferred

If possible please use credit cards or fully contactless payment like ApplePay on your phone.

Health And Safety Is A Priority!

We are limiting capacity, but still expect some areas for lines or gathering at animal viewing areas. Please respect social distancing and related guidelines. Watch our New Visit Video to learn more.

  • Wellness Stations: Hand sanitizer available at all entrances and throughout the park near food/retail and exhibit areas.
  • Review all visitor behavior and activity policies: View rules
  • NY State travel guidelines require all New Yorkers, as well as those visiting from out-of-state or another country, to take personal responsibility for compliance in the best interest of public health and safety. For specific details go to: forward.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory

COVID-19 Warning WCS has implemented enhanced health and safety measures for our guests, our employees and our animals. However, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By visiting WCS’s facilities, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
