Field Trips

The WCS Education Department offers a variety of standards-based learning experiences at our parks and at your school! We offer programs that inspire future conservationists while supporting your curriculum. All on-site programs include general admission to the park.

Classes include a program facilitated by a conservation educator and an animal guest, unless otherwise noted.
Tours include guided interactions in the zoo with an adult volunteer.
Field Trip Activity Sheets are resources for you to use during a visit.
Outreach includes a program off-site, usually at your school.

For school or camp field trips: Children age 12 to 17 are permitted to visit indoor exhibits if accompanied by vaccinated Adult Chaperone(s). Adult Chaperones (18+) must show proof of vaccination (at least 1 shot) in order for the field trip group to be permitted entry to indoor exhibits.

  • Chaperone supervision ratios must be followed at all times – Student/Camp groups require (1) one adult chaperone for every 10 minors and chaperones must remain with their group at all times.
