Bison Babies
Avid viewers of THE ZOO may remember the bison we featured in Season 1, when we received the gift of eight purebred animals from the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux tribes, the first transfer from a tribe to a zoo.
This past week, viewers watched as we successfully birthed three purebred bison calves at the zoo. It’s another step is on our, proud history of American bison conservation. Enjoy some extra bison footage below and make sure to stop by the Bronx Zoo this summer and see the herd in person!
